2009 will be a critical year for our country, our county and our community here in Washington Township.  It is with pride and excitement that we witness the Presidency of Barack Obama and prepare to support him and the Democratic leadership as they take on and address the difficult challenges facing our country and work to heal the wrongs and wounds left by the Bush administration.  Here in Washington Township, the enthusiasm of Democrats, old and new, is building, as we grow and gain respect as a legitimate political voice in this community.  As in 2009, you can expect the Democratic candidates offer strong leadership, pragmatic policies and the commitment to change to get this country moving forward again.
